Class of 2022 -Good bye & Good Luck!

24th Jun 2022

A sad farewell to our P7 pupils - Class of 2022

Today we had the End of Year celebration for our wonderful P7 children as we bid farewell to the Class of 2022. It was a lovely occasion to have the children and their parents in attendance to celebrate the special End of Year Prayer Service in school.

Well done to all the children in their roles as readers, saying the Prayers of the Faithful and also to our instrumental group.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed watching the wonderful ‘Leaver’s Ceremony video produced by Miss McVey, as they looked back on so many cherished memories of their time at Derrychrin PS. They also got opportunity to watch their ‘Reconnection’ video they produced with Eamon McGarrity.

Thank you to our canteen staff, Margaret, Collette and Ann-Marie for providing delicious refreshments for everyone.

Thank you to Gemma for preparing the gift bags which included some savoury treats, delightful cupcakes baked by Erin at ‘Bridge Bakes’ and the ‘Class of 2022’ Leaver’s Tops.

A massive thank you to all the teaching staff and non-teaching staff for their care and dedication throughout their children’s time at Derrychrin PS. A special mention of gratitude must go to P7 class teacher Mr O’Neill and teaching assistant Maeve, for their kindness and dedication in the children’s final year.

On behalf of all the staff, pupils, Board of Governors and whole Derrychrin school community, we thank all the children for being fantastic ambassadors and great role models. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our wonderful P7 pupils but we wish them every success, joy and happiness as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

Please always remember our door will always be open and you will welcome back to Derrychrin any time.

We will miss you all very much. Take care and stay safe!
