We had a lovely morning celebrating our Beginning of Year Mass to mark the start of the new school year for the Derrychrin School Community.
A massive thank you to Father Donnelly for celebrating the mass with all the pupils and staff. He commented on how privileged he was to celebrate the mass with a happy school community.
A special mention to all the teachers, teaching assistants and parents who prepared the children with their readings, prayers and hymns. Thank you to Miss Hughes for leading the children in song and playing lovely instrumental music.
The children were terrific and Fr. Donnelly commented on how impressive the children were in aspects of the mass and their behaviour. Well done to all the children who were very reverent when saying their prayers, readings and hymns.
