🔵⚪️ ☘️ Good Luck Ballinderry Féile Teams 🔵⚪️☘️

Good luck to the Ballinderry Shamrocks under-15 Féile Peile na nÓg (football) and Féile na nGael (camogie) teams as they begin their quest of Féile honours in both codes of the annual competitions over the next two weekends.

The Féile competitions sponsored by John West, brings together thousands of young hurlers, camogie players and Gaelic footballers in a celebration of the GAA’s community ethos through underage competition. It is the 50th anniversary of the Camogie competition, and the 30th anniversary of Féile’s LGFA element this year.

This year’s John West Féile na nGael national finals are taking place at Leinster venues on Saturday, June 22, with the Ballinderry team based in Wexford and the Féile Peile na nÓg national finals are taking place at Connacht venues on Saturday, June 29, with the Ballinderry team based in Galway.

On behalf of Derrychrin PS, Mr. McElroy made a donation to go towards funds for both Feile weekends. We wish all the girls and management, many of whom are past pupils, the very best of luck from everyone at Derrychrin PS. A special mention to our P7 pupil Casey who is a member of the Camogie squad, staff member Deirdre McGuckin who is member of the Camogie management team and Donna McGuckin who is a member of the Football management.

A massive achievement for the club to have both teams participating in a highly recognised GAA national competition. Good luck girls and management teams and hopefully we will be able to welcome you back in September with some silverware!

Safe travels to everyone making the journey to both events and enjoy the experience!
