This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Eirinn from Scoil Spreagtha to see, hear and experience the use of Irish in our school. Eirinn delivered a workshop to Rang a Sé which truly brought the initiative to life. We are extremely grateful for the enthusiasm, energy and commitment shown by Eirinn and the Scoil Spreagtha team.
Scoil Spreagtha is a celebratory, accredited scheme that recognises and encourages the efforts of English-medium schools to promote and increase the use of Irish throughout the school environment.
This scheme aims to:
✨ Support schools in incorporating Irish throughout the school environment
✨ Provide resources that help embed the language naturally
✨ Encourage everyday conversational Irish as part of normal school life
✨ Support staff and pupils in using Irish phrases relevant to daily routines
✨ Promote regular opportunities for everyone to build vocabulary and confidence
