Mrs. McGuckin, our school and Mr. McElroy recently attended the Education Authority, 'Being Well Doing Well', Whole School Approach to Emotional Health & Wellbeing celebration event held in St. Dominic’s Grammar School, Belfast.
It was an opportunity to bring all 128, Cohort 1 schools together to celebrate their journey in the implementation of this wellbeing programme as part of the DE/DoH Children and Young People’s Emotional Health & Wellbeing in Education Framework. It was also an opportunity to showcase how schools have implemented a wellbeing ethos and culture because of the BWDW programme.
All schools were presented with an award for their commitment to a whole school approach to wellbeing. Special thanks to Shaun McCormick (EA Assistant Principal Officer - Pupil Emotional Health & Wellbeing) who has supported the school in the last two years.
