CANCELLED -‘Halloween Ghost & Ghoul Parade’
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast for this weekend with significant heavy rainfall predicted, Derrychrin PS and Friends of Derrychrin PTA have taken the decision to cancel the ‘Halloween Ghost & Ghoul Parade’ scheduled for Sunday 31st October at Ballinderry GAC. While the Ballinderry GAC Club kindly offered the use of their new community hub, we feel that in the interest of safety for everyone and with the COVID transmission still a risk within the school community, the event will not go ahead at this time.
We know that there will be a sense of disappointment due to the cancellation of the event and we apologise for any inconvenience. However, as an alternative, we are asking for pupils and families to post online contributions to the Friends of Derrychrin Facebook page of all fancy dress, pumpkins and scare-crow efforts. We look forward to seeing all your efforts. Treats and prizes will be distributed at school next week.

In the meantime, we wish everyone a continued happy and safe break and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 1st November.
