Thursday P5 Swimming (Week Three) Girls LGFA Gaelic After School Club P5-P7 -2:45pm-3:45pm (Week Five)
As part of our Christmas celebrations in Derrychrin, our P5 children led the whole school in a Christingle assembly. The children made a Christingle in school prior to the assembly and explained real message of Christmas with the joy it brings as we approach Christmas Day.
Well done to all the P5 children along with a number of P7 children who read with confidence, the P4 tin whistle group who performed 'Away in a Manager' and to all the children who sang 'Silent Night' at the end of assembly. Thank you to Mrs McGuckin, Deirdre and Clare for preparing the children so well.
We also got the opportunity to listen to a lovely Christmas poem created by the P4 children and and sang happy birthday to the children who will celebrate their birthdays over the Christmas Holidays. Our P6 pupils concluded the assembly by leading everyone in our weekly Advent prayer as we await in hope the arrival of Jesus.
