Admission to St. Mary's in 2025 & SEAG information Evening

All post-primary schools using academic selection (in Northern Ireland) have signed up to the SEAG and plan to use the results of that assessment as part of their admissions criteria.

The registration for the Entrance Assessment opens on Monday 20 May 2024 and will run until Friday 20 September 2024.  Whilst registration is completed by parents, directly through the SEAG website, we recognise that some families will be keen for more information and support in this process.  To that end, we will be holding an Information Evening on Thursday 6 June 2024 at 6pm. A digital poster advertising the Entrance Assessment Information Evening will follow soon in a further email and we will also send printed copies of the posters. I would be very grateful if you could distribute these to Primary 6 pupils and parents/carers.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding the Entrance Assessment. Full details are available on the school’s website: https://www.stmarysmagherafelt.com/Admissions/Year-8/

St. Mary’s will be holding a SEAG information Evening for Primary 6 pupils and parents/carers on Thursday 6 June 2024 at 6pm.

Summer Camp

We look forward to hosting our Summer Camps this year for Primary 5, 6 and 7 pupils.  This will be two fun-filled days of sports, activities and challenges, where we know friendships will be forged and memories made.

The girls’ camp will run on Monday 1 July and Tuesday 2 July and the boys’ camp will take place on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July.  All pupils will receive a bespoke SMG Jersey.

We have limited spaces remaining in both camps and would be grateful if you could promote amongst your pupils.
