Primary 6 STEM Challenge – Titanic Edition ⚓

8th Oct 2025

As part of our Titanic topic, pupils explored key scientific concepts including buoyancy, gravity, and density. Using our Plan, Do, Review approach, learners designed and built their own “unsinkable” ships, applying their understanding through hands-on experimentation.

Pupils chose to work in pairs or larger groups, which helped develop essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. While some ship designs were successful and others less so, every group reflected on their process and learned valuable lessons through testing and review. A fantastic STEM experience full of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration!
