Primary One Enrolment - September 2026

Admissions criteria for children starting P1 in September 2026 will be published on the EA website. www.eani.org.uk on Wednesday 10 December 2025. The EA Connect portal for online applications opens on Wednesday 7 January 2026 at 12noon and closes on Wednesday 21 January 2026 at 12noon. Admissions can be completed online using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer.

We are now accepting expressions of interest for potential Primary 1 children for the September 2026 intake.  Registration of interest in Derrychrin PS for Primary 1 September 2026 can be found on our school website homepage or click on the link https://www.derrychrinps.org/surveys/survey-80/

We are trying to ascertain numbers for the next school year, and we would ask you to please pass this information on to other prospective parents/guardians especially those who do not have children already at Derrychrin PS.

(Please remember an Education Authority admissions digital application form must be completed online as per regulations to select the school of your choice.)

Admissions Key Dates

Wednesday 10 December 2025 -Admissions criteria for Primary schools published on the EA website.

Wednesday 7 January 2026 – at 12 noon EA Connect opens for online applications for Primary 1.

Wednesday 21 January 2026 – at 12 noon EA Connect closes for online applications for Primary 1.

Monday 26 January 2026 – by 4pm Final date/time for late applications. Final date/time for Change of Preference in Exceptional Circumstances. Final date/time for documents in support of applications.

Monday 23 March 2026 Parents/carers will receive application outcomes via email (where one is held) or by letter.
