School Values Certificates - March 2026

Throughout the month of March, our school community focused on the value of Happiness.

Our pupil voice captured this beautifully:

“Happiness is smiling, laughing and helping others feel happy too.”

Over the month, pupils explored what happiness looks like in our classrooms, playgrounds and across school life. The children shared many wonderful examples, including using kind words, showing a smile, skipping and dancing at playtime, playing together, and spreading happiness to others through friendship and teamwork. Pupils spoke about how being happy helps everyone feel welcomed, calm and ready to learn.

Staff also recognised pupils who consistently demonstrated not only Happiness, but other core values through their positive attitudes and joyful approach to school life. These values continue to shine through in the everyday actions of our pupils.

We were delighted to celebrate and acknowledge pupils during assembly who embodied this value so well. Their enthusiasm, kindness and positivity help make Derrychrin a happy and safe place for everyone.
