Shared Education Health & Wellbeing Day

10th Mar 2026

Yesterday, pupils from Derrychrin PS, Ballylifford PS, and Coagh PS came together for a wonderful Shared Education Health & Wellbeing Day—a brilliant opportunity for our children to learn, connect and grow alongside their peers from our partner schools.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of engaging workshops designed to promote positive mental health, resilience, and physical wellbeing:

🌱 Thrive Workshop with Caitríona

Caitríona from the Thrive Programme delivered uplifting sessions focusing on emotional wellbeing, confidence-building, and developing healthy thought patterns. Pupils explored strategies to manage power of choice and being thought detectives.

🧠 Fit Minds with Ronan

Ronan from Fit Minds led highly interactive activities that encouraged pupils to think creatively and work together. The children thoroughly enjoyed the teamwork challenges.

🏃‍♂️ Fun Fitness with Fitness Freddy

Fitness Freddy brought fantastic energy to the day with his upbeat movement sessions, promoting exercise, coordination and fun through physical activity and offering Take 5 advice.

This shared event not only supported the children’s wellbeing but also strengthened friendships across our three schools as part of our ongoing Shared Education Partnership.

A huge thank you to Caitríona, Ronan, and Fitness Freddy for inspiring our pupils and together, creating meaningful learning experiences.
