Solihull Approach -Online Learning Pathways for Parents

22nd Sep 2025

The Solihull Approach offers a range of free online learning pathways for parents through their platform inourplace.co.uk. These courses are designed to support emotional health and wellbeing from pregnancy through to adolescence, and are based on the evidence-based Solihull Approach model.

Key Features of the Online Learning Pathway:

  • Accessible anytime, anywhere – Learn at your own pace in a private, supportive space.
  • Courses available for parents, carers, grandparents, and young people.
  • Topics include:
    • Childhood and adolescent brain development
    • Parenting strategies
    • Emotional wellbeing and relationships
    • Mental health and trauma
  • Available in multiple languages.
  • Free access is available in many UK areas thanks to local authority and health trust sponsorships. You can check if you're eligible using their Free Access Checker.
  • Even if you're not in a sponsored area, many resources are still free, and paid courses are low-cost.

To get started, visit inourplace.co.uk, create a profile, and begin exploring the courses. The course will close at the end of October so we would encourage everyone to use the free access.
