Stuart Reid Author Visit -Book Order Form

We are excited to announce that award-winning Scottish author Stuart Reid will visit Derrychrin Primary School on Tuesday, 10th March 2026.

Stuart has performed at over 3,000 schools, libraries, and book festivals across Britain, Ireland, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, India, Spain, and Australia. His first book won the Silver Medal at the Forward National Literature Awards, and his stories are written to inspire children to read for pleasure. His most recent book, Grandpa Jock and the Incredible Iron-Bru-Man Incident, was launched at the Edinburgh Festival, while his new title, Soggy Saturday Sandwich, debuted at the Nairn Book Festival.

The Gorgeous George series and other titles are aimed at children aged 7 to 12 years, making them perfect for our pupils.

As part of this visit, pupils will have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of Stuart Reid’s books.
We kindly ask parents/carers to complete the survey form indicating:

• The number of books you wish to order
• Your choice of titles
• Payment, which should be made via the shop section on the SchoolMoney app

Prices are as follows:

• Single book – £7
• Any two books – £12
• Any three books – £15
• Four books – £20
• Full set of nine books (school offer) – £40
