The Ballinderry Cookbook
Primary 7 – Junior Entrepreneur Programme 2026
As part of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme, Primary 7 have developed their business idea for 2026: the creation of a “Ballinderry Cookbook.”
We are inviting parents, family members and friends to share their local recipes so we can compile them into a community‑inspired cookbook. Recipes may include starters, main dishes, desserts, baked goods, sauces, or any special family favourite you would like to see published.
Over time, treasured family recipes can be lost or forgotten. Our aim is to collect and preserve these recipes, professionally publish them, and include the name of the person or family who donated each one—ensuring they can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Unlike recipes found online or in commercial cookbooks, local recipes often have a unique “Ballinderry twist,” use familiar ingredients and reflect the rich cooking traditions of our community.
If you would like to contribute, please write down your recipe (including ingredients and method) and return it to the Primary 7 pupils by Friday 6th March 2026.
This will allow us time to gather the recipes, compile the book, and have it published and available for purchase by late April/early May.
You may also complete recipes electronically by using the online form at the link below:

We also kindly ask that you share this request with wider family members—via mobile phones or digital devices—so that as many recipes as possible can be included. The more contributions we receive, the richer and more meaningful our cookbook will be.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to creating a cookbook that families across our area will treasure and savour for years to come.
