Primary 7 are currently taking part in the ‘Trout in the Classroom’ programme in association with the Ballinderry Rivers Trust. The pupils take daily records and observations to ensure that the dollaghan eggs successfully hatch and can be released into the Ballinderry River, once they have grown into young fry. This week, many of the alevin have hatched from the eggs and pupils have had to regularly change their water.
