Today Primary 3 tested different materials to check if they were waterproof or not waterproof. We all brought in items made from various materials - plastic, paper, rubber, card, fabric and more - and discussed their properties. We took it in turns to check if the water was running off or being absorbed and then sorted each item into a Venn diagram. We were surprised at some of the results and discussed why it is important for some items to be waterproof.
P3 were excellent at using new scientific vocabulary and (most importantly) had lots of fun! Well done.
