P4 had a day jam packed with books and stories! We firstly enjoyed an Assembly delivered by our student teachers on World Book Day. We then participated in a Zoom call where the famous local author Paddy Donnelly informed the children about becoming an author, he read one his wonderful books called ‘Fox and Son’ and then took us through the steps to draw a character from the book. There were some very creative characters created!
We continued later with more reading during DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time and pupils had the opportunity to visit our Book Fair. Reading has never been more fun!
